Objectives of the 50Plus Advocacy Group (IV50Plus) – 

(Member of the umbrella organisation „European Association 50Plus“)“

The „Interessenvertretung 50Plus eV“ sees it as its mission to bring about a positive change in the perception of old age in Germany. The three main areas of focus for Interessenvertretung 50Plus eV are initiatives to tackle labour shortages, the fight against poverty in old age, and shaping retirement.

The advocacy group 50Plus eV is also examining the following questions:

• How can society better benefit from the wealth of professional and personal experience of the over-50s in future?
• How can we ensure that older people enjoy a secure and well-deserved retirement?
• What should suitable housing for the ‘life-savvy’ (people over 50) look like?
• What infrastructure and services are essential?
• How can products and services be tailored to the needs of the over-50s?
• How can we support small and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to find successors for their businesses?
• How can we act responsibly towards future generations?
• How do we manage our energy resources and protect the environment?
• How can we inspire the over-50s to get involved in much-needed community work?
