It is said that Amazon sometimes knows a woman is pregnant before she does. Simply because her search and purchasing behaviour reveals what is on her mind and how her needs are changing.
A question I’ve been asking myself for years: what actually comes after PPC, after pay-per-click, after traditional performance marketing? Simply transferring even more money to Google and Meta every year can’t be the solution in the long run.
The answer, which is becoming increasingly clear, is predictive marketing.
Essentially, this is exactly what Amazon has been doing for years: using consumer data to predict what a customer or potential customer will do next.
A clever footballer once said: ‘You mustn’t always run after the ball. Ideally, you should already be standing where the ball is about to go.’.
That is exactly what marketing of the future is all about.

Are you really collecting all the relevant data?
And above all: are you able to interpret this data correctly and use it to devise specific measures?Lots of people talk about it. Very few can actually do it.
